Myself and have decided to take on a challenge of walking 1 MILLION STEPS combined in September to raise awareness of Blood Cancer.

We will be posting regularly about our progress and encourage everyone to join the register.

I have been on the register for a number of years and my husband has been a match for someone twice (once was 💯 match, which led him to donating his stem cells to save a life)

Charlotte is joining today💪

I have seen first hand how important this is and would love nothing more than for more people to sign up.

Anyone else DONE with the summer holidays? Should I say that out loud? 🙈😂

I’ve worked from home the last couple of days and, honestly, I’ve 100% hit my limit! Yesterday I spoke to a few clients and colleagues who were feeling exactly the same.

So today I’m in the office… in peace 🙌🏻☕️ and I’m counting down the days until my boys are back at school! 😂

I’ve noticed clients are starting to book appointments for next week now that they can finally concentrate on their mortgage and insurance needs.

Rare day off together (and kid-free), so what did we do? Yep… we climbed a mountain! 😂

Okay, technically it’s a big hill, according to my 14-year-old son 🤓

I swear I nearly died the last time I did this — and genuinely cried on the way up! That was about two years ago, and that day I set myself a goal to get fitter. Since then, I’ve focused on walking and getting out more.

Today? I absolutely loved it. No tears in sight! 🙌🏻🗻❤️🐾

And yes… we now have THREE dogs 🙈🤪 Well, for the next 10 days anyway. I’m secretly hoping my friend doesn’t want her back! 🐾❤️

It made me think about goals and how, sometimes, the biggest achievement is simply starting.

Two years ago, I struggled to get up that hill. Today, I enjoyed every step.

Mortgage Myths: Let’s Set the Record Straight 🏡

I hear these three myths all the time when speaking to people about mortgages — so let’s clear them up! 👇

1️⃣ “You can’t get a mortgage if you have bad credit.”

Not necessarily! 🚫

I’ve helped many people with less-than-perfect credit histories, including everything from parking ticket CCJs through to repossessions.

Your credit history doesn’t automatically mean a mortgage is off the table. There may still be options available depending on your circumstances.

2️⃣ “You need a huge deposit.”

Again, this isn’t always the case. 💰

There are now a range of low-deposit and, in some circumstances, no-deposit options available.

The right option will depend on your individual circumstances, so it’s worth having a conversation before assuming you need years to save.

3️⃣ “If you’re self-employed, you can’t get a mortgage.”

This is another common misconception!

Being self-employed doesn’t automatically prevent you from getting a mortgage. Even if you’ve only been self-employed for a year, there may be lenders who can help.

📩 The key thing is not to assume you can’t get a mortgage before speaking to someone who understands the options available.
