Snail Pottery are the husband and wife team of Bob & Andi Emmett. Based in rural Lincolnshire, we produce handthrown and slipcast functional and decorative, stoneware and porcelain ceramics.The decorative carved and pierced pieces are exhibited and sold at a number of shops and galleries, as well as at ceramic only, or purely handmade, British designer maker events throughout the country. A MAHOOSIVE THANK YOU! 😍😍 to Artisans Plus Pop Up Market for another great event!

I did well last month, but that was the Saturday of the early May Bank Holiday and The Knife Angel was in town, and the weather was nice!

Today was a normal Saturday, it was grey and drizzly but saleswise I did EVEN BETTER! 😲🥰🤩

A happy but tired Snail 🐌😴. Our next event is the epic Ceramic Wales so I'd best get ready for that...

Happy Saturday everybody! I hope all you Lincoln Makers' Market ( Helen Whittle etc) did well today outside, and managed to stay warm and dry, and that all you potters at Potfest up in Penrith this weekend are having a FABULOUS and profitable time!

The ignorance and short sightedness of the capitalist culture we live in is determined to destroy any type of creativity or humanity.

Yesterday Snail Pottery, Bob Emmett Ceramics and Jillian Riley Designs headed over to Wirksworth to drop stock off at Stevie's gallery!

What a GORGEOUS little market town Wirksworth is, with all it's lovely independant shops!

We parked in the challengingly steeply gradiented car park and after visiting Stevie, we had oatcake pancakes with fried egg, mushrooms and hash browns in The Quarryman pub!

Stevie runs glass workshops from her 'wirkshop' and if you are ever in the area do please pop in!

Her gallery also includes work by DavidWilliamSampson Ceramics, and Carrie Kendra Ceramics.

What a LOVELY day I've just had at Houghfest Hough Community Hub!! 😍

THANK YOU to all the event team volunteers!

It was rather hot outside, 😎 so I was very happy to be indoors. I could still hear the most excellent 'Back 2 the future' band who did 80s covers, which of course is my era so I could sing along! 🎶😍 And there was a bar, and chip van and ice cream van! Perfect for this weather! Oooh, and the cake lady! 😋🍰

THANK YOU Phil Thomson for the zero Guinness! 🍺 Lovely to see you and Jane Lancaster, and Gary Rudd and Komorebi Cobra and Christina Stevens and Alice, and Molly, and David & Debbie Moore and Muddi Em! 😍
