Many clients have asked me if there would be any changes to Stamp Duty in the Budget, because that could impact if they bought a home sooner or later. However, no changes were announced, and if any future changes are made, it is expected that this would take a while to be implemented.

People often ask me when their next tax return needs to be completed by. If you’re self employed and you’re applying for a mortgage, the majority of lenders will want your tax returns to less than 18 months old, which means that now, they will usually want to see your 22/23 completed.
