SHOP UPDATE - PLEASE READ!

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the lack of social media interaction from us & give a big thank you to everyone that has been keeping the name out there by sending me stuff to post & posting etc 👊🏼❤️

For those new to following us or don't know us as well as some, I started Brace as a passion project, & we run it alongside a very busy Engineering company.

We have been going for some years making small custom merch and hardware and working with our good friends then covid hit and I had to choose the main business!

Fast forward a few years and I had a dream of opening a shop that felt more like a social space or an old school skate/surf shop....

So I decided to reach out to all those OG individual brands and some selected main stream ones and the response I got for the idea was more than I ever expected, so I rolled the dice and set about building the shop in an industrial unit.

Blood, sweat and tears went into setting the place up but it was more than worth it seeing people enjoy it.

Being able to bring the whole lifestyle of fishing to people and not just the products was something we love.

But sadly it was always going to be a gamble... Yes I'd call the idea a success but the physical shop in that location isn't.

We had some mega times in the shop and I will always remember and be grateful for the Rural Banx open night and all the effort and support from that made it a success and enjoyable for everyone!

I'd love to move the shop to a location where it would be enjoyed and get more visitors, but I just can't manage that and I don't want the customers to suffer.

I'm going to move Brace to the same premises as my other business, this will allow me more time to put back into Brace as I really want to get back to the product ideas and hopefully doing more shows.

We will be moving mainly online but you will be able to pop in and pick stuff up if required and to have a look at a future purchase, we will also still be able to take payment on pickup.

Shop Sessions: #001 Rural Banx ❤️❤️❤️

What an event!!!!

From what started as an idea floating round in my head, that I then chucked at and while chilling on the bank. I was just looking for a bit of advice and feedback, but my ideas were met with - 'let's do it' and some mega support and positivity, which then snowballed into a set date...
With just over four weeks until the event date, we went hard 👊🏼👊🏼 We did pretty much a full shop refit, loads of new design work that absolutely smashed, hours and hours of sourcing more cool merch for the night, and finding the right food that everyone would enjoy... & I think we can all agree that .co.uk smashed it!

While we personally went into the event feeling very nervous and hoping that people would understand and enjoy the idea of what we wanted to bring to the community, we definitely ended the night on a high, feeling like everyone involved really smashed it ❤️👊🏼

A massive thank you to Oli and Alan for giving up their time, even after many miles and cold nights on the bank they put in a shift that everyone loved!

Just a quick post for everyone joining us tomorrow evening for the SHOP SESSIONS #001: RURAL BANX event!

- Below is a site plan for those who haven't visited us before.
- Please try not to arrive before 18:00, it's a really busy industrial estate, but most of the businesses will be closed after 18:00.
- There will be no early entry to the event, doors open at 18:30.
- There is plenty of on street parking all around the estate, but please be considerate of our neighbours and don't block any business entrances.
- The Fresh Fries food van will be serving up your free portions of loaded fries between 18:30 and 21:00 - so make sure you don't miss out. Your free food ticket will be in your gift bag at ticket check, make sure you give this to the Fresh Fries team when you order.
- Smoking is only permitted in the outside yard area, not the gazebo or near the food van, please use the cigarette bins provided.
- The phone signal is pretty bad on most networks (apart from Vodafone) in / around the shop, but we will have our WiFi open for the night.

If you need any assistance during the event, any of the Brace team will be more than happy to help, so grab one of us!

BRACE LANTERNS DROPPING FRIDAY 7PM

An Idea cooked up by myself and brought to life by Geertooms.com

Will be available as a single bobbin or complete kit with standard clips and chains in black or stainless.

We only have limited pieces available...with a lot of interest we can't see these hanging around!

We can ship worldwide! And easily into Europe 👌🏼

Geertooms also have limited pieces but we predicted they will sell out really fast!!

BRACE LANTERN BOBBINS

While taking some time out on the bank with our good friends at I brought up an idea I'd thought about many times.... A bobbin that gave off that iconic glow you get from a street lamp... That hazy amber glow as you look out of your bivvy at night.

With all their knowledge in machining tricky materials to a super high standard,we decided it was going to happen!

With an amber isotope you can watch that little lantern rock in the breeze..... Proper vibe and with all of geertooms products they are super functional.

They will be released this coming Friday , So keep an eye on your socials for more pictures and all the info.
