Happy International Dog Day 🐶

A day dedicated to celebrating dogs? Finally, a national day I can get behind!

This is Freddie, my very demanding cocker spaniel.

He has a lot of personality, plenty of opinions, and an impressive ability to make sure you know when he's decided it's time for a walk, a treat, or some attention.

He's also brilliant company, always pleased to see you, and very good at making you stop what you're doing for a cuddle.

So today is all about Freddie... although let's not tell him that, or he'll expect it every day.

We're getting a pretty spectacular partial solar eclipse!

It's the best eclipse visible from the UK and Ireland for almost 30 years, so it's not something we'll get another chance to see for quite a while.

Fingers crossed for clear skies.
