WE ARE HIRING! We’re growing our team and looking for a talented Business Development Exec to join us here at Capex Currency!

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This is a key role focused on identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while building long-term client relationships.

You will be responsible for generating new revenue by introducing businesses to Capex Currency’s FX and payment solutions, working closely with senior team members to onboard and retain clients.

As expected, today saw the Bank of England hike rates by 50 basis point moving interest rates to 1.75%. Today's increase is a clear case of playing catch up, however it is being imposed at a time when the economy is weakening

Highly efficient and personal service

We started using Capex in February and the service has been incredible. The whole process is highly efficient and personal - they're a pleasure to work with.

We run monthly payroll in Germany and Switzerland, which involves paying three invoices a month (two salaries, one service fee). Capex allows us to send one quick email summarizing the transfers each month, and we then receive a single bill to pay, into a Sterling bank account. We get better exchange rates than the bank transfer, no one-off forex fee; we only have to make one transfer rather than three; and the transfers are typically made on the same day. They're also always reachable by phone for enquiries and the email responsiveness is incredible. I cannot fault them.

Today the European central bank will announce a rate hike, the first for over 11 years in a bid to battle inflation. The market will be looking to see whether they hike 0.25% or 0.5%. As it currently stands at -0.5% and with the ECB targeting closer to 2% by the end of the year, it is likely they will be aggressive.

Sterling has moved higher this morning trading up 0.7% against the Euro and USD this morning as Boris Johnson is set to resign as prime minister.

The outlook for GBP seems to be more positive as incoming change at Downing Street is being welcomed by investors. GBP/EUR currently trades at a one month high while GBP/USD has broken the 1.20 level once again.
