What a blooming marvellous day 😎

Finally headed down to London to check out - what an incredible destination. Yes the shops and restaurants are good but I was more interested in the architecture. The original parts have been restored brilliantly with the new builds in keeping. I’ve loved it.

Just a few snaps of what I saw, more posts to follow soon of the retail displays I saw.

It’s been a gloriously sunny, stinking hot day in London. The Power Station has lots of outdoor space for visitors and locals to enjoy. I highly recommend a visit 👍

Now my hotel is next to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home so the challenge is not to return to Leicester with a four legged friend….🫣

The ninth page of the Zero-five mini desk calendar offers a thought-provoking message: “Perfect friendship cannot be without equality.”

Understanding the importance of balance in relationships is key. Unequal connections can feel like a lonely seesaw, where your efforts don’t yield the desired results. On the other hand, friendships based on equality are fulfilling, reflecting the energy you invest.

I recently prioritised ‘friendships’ as one of my core values during a coaching exercise. Aligning my actions with this value has positively impacted both my personal and professional relationships. The key lies in maintaining a balance of give and take, alongside respect and honesty.

I found this yesterday. In my downstairs loo there has always been a little chalkboard on the back of the door, a little bit of fun where I could leave messages for guests or they could write or doodle something for me. There have been some classics over the years!

As the smallest room is having a makeover I took the chalkboard off the door and on the back I found this message written by my dad. Now I can’t specifically remember when this was written but I obviously wanted to keep it, it may have been when I decided to go it alone as Zero-five some 19 years ago.

The event doesn’t really matter, but the words…oh my, how lucky am I!! 👴🏻👵🏻❤️

It has been a privilege to visit here with my mum for the past decade. She is now hanging up her Wimbledon seat pad after seeing some fantastic tennis again today - and not a drop of rain!!

Today marks one year since I transitioned from my office at the LCB Depot to working from home. Time has flown by, and I’ve never looked back. This past year has actually been the most profitable since I founded Zero-five. Initially hesitant to give up my office space, even though I rarely used it since the pandemic, I cherished the sense of gravitas it provided.

Over the past year, I’ve curated a special workspace at home, filled with inspiring pictures and knick-knacks. A wise friend once told me that my clients are indifferent to my work location; it’s the results that matter. I now wholeheartedly embrace this view. I’m excited for what the second year holds!
