It's important to remember that nothing is fixed (apart from your mortgage rate 🤣) Everything else in life can be changed and having the right people to support and advise you through life's challenges can make everything easier.

Conditional selling has always been an issue in this industry. Buyers being told that their offer won't be considered if they don't speak to the in-house adviser, the sale will go through quicker if a specific solicitors are used, the valuation will only be valid from a specified surveyor. It may not happen every time but when it does happen it leaves buyers confused and pressurised.

It is something that those with standards and ethics in this industry are keen to see the back of.

It has just been announced the the Bank of England has decided to reduce the base rate from 5.25% to 5.00%. This is the first rate reduction since 2020.

Lenders have been steadily reducing rates over the last few weeks, as these rates are generally determined by swap rates rather than the base rate.
