Exciting news at Gauntlet Group today. Brokerbility has announced Michelle South as the new managing director. Michelle steps into the shoes of Gauntlet Group founder, Roger Gaunt, who becomes Executive Director.

As many people in the industry will know, Michelle has a deep understanding of the broker market, having held senior roles in Aviva's broker division and having worked for four years as Development Director at Willis. She will be channelling 20 years of experience in the insurance sector, leading Gauntlet's direct team, and its appointed representative (AR) network, into a new chapter of growth.

Roger Gaunt will support her in this mission, with an increased focus on driving business growth and expanding the AR network. This offers appointed representative opportunities through Gauntlet Start-up Broker, Gauntlet Brokerage Builder, Gauntlet Phoenix and Gauntlet Unite and can also support the operations of directly authorised brokers, by helping them switch their status to appointed representative, through the Gauntlet De-authorisation Fast-track route.

Michelle South's appointment demonstrates Gauntlet's commitment to providing outstanding support, expertise and market access to its appointed representative partners nationwide throughout their AR journey, from start-up to final exit - a stage at which Gauntlet has exit pathways to provide to brokers ready to enjoy their retirement.

A trio of intrepid fundraisers have done Gauntlet Risk Management proud over the Bank Holiday weekend! Samuel Bell, Tom Hope and Aniah Coleman all took on a gruelling climb up Kinder Scout ridge and plateau in the Peak District, to raise money for North & West Yorkshire Cash for Kids.

Kinder Scout is the highest peak in the Peak District and organisers warned that their 16km Big Hike was not for the faint-hearted. The aim was to complete the hike in under 7 hours. All three did that, with Tom and Sam separated by just 15 mins but both within 1.5 hours of the target.

So far, the three brokers from Gauntlet HQ have raise £840 of their target of £1500. Any help with raising that sum will do so much to help alleviate poverty, tackle child disability and improve children's quality of life in the North and West Yorkshire region.
