We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who helped make the weekend so memorable.

From start to finish, the whole place was absolutely rocking, and that is a credit to every one of you for continuing to support us and for trusting Blackpool Somme and Leeds Somme to put on a weekend worth attending. Your support never goes unnoticed, and it’s what makes weekends like this possible.

As always, we try to provide the best entertainment we can, and once again we feel we delivered this year. Both singers put on fantastic performances throughout the weekend, so on behalf of both Somme clubs, we would like to say a huge thank you to them for everything they did and for helping make the weekend such a success.

Lastly, we want to give a special thank you to the Gallant Pioneer for once again putting their trust in us. This weekend has historically been a busy one for the pub due to the Scottish September break, so they certainly don’t have to hand the place over to us. The fact that they have continued to do so for the past few years is something we genuinely appreciate.

The Gallant Pioneer deserves all the support it can get, and for us, continuing something that has proved so successful is a no-brainer. We are often asked whether we would consider moving the weekend to a bigger venue, but the truth is that this simply isn’t something we are looking to do.

We are forever encouraging people to get behind and support the pub, and we believe that same principle should apply to us. The Gallant Pioneer has supported this weekend and given us a home, and we intend to return that loyalty.

Could we potentially extend things into a Sunday afternoon function in the future? 🙈🤣 Please don’t give me any more stress! It is certainly possible, and we will continue to look at every option available to make the weekend even better.

One thing, however, will remain the same: the Blackpool & Leeds Somme Weekend will continue to be held at the Gallant Pioneer for as long as they are happy to have us.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, supported the clubs, entertained us and helped make the weekend what it was. It genuinely wouldn’t be the same without you all.

Weekends raffle is set to be a cracker.

3 x rangers tops signed by current and legends
1 x rangers signed first team ball 25/26
3 x wooden plaques
2 x signed rangers player frames
4 x ltr bottles vodka

Anyone that isn’t attending the weekend but would like tickets for the raffles Friday night or Saturday just drop us a message and we can sort you out we will be splitting the prizes up over both nights so the raffle doesn’t take up to much time.

1 x Auction item

This will be done on the Saturday night but people can see the item both nights and leave bids should they not want to bid on the night.

As we approach the weekend we have made the decision to open the door early again this year as we were taken by surprise last year with how busy the bar was with people waiting to head next door.

All we ask is well you are sat in the bar waiting just please be mindful that the bar staff for the function will more than likely not be in yet so be nice to the day shift as they could be busy 🤣🤣

Not long to go now till the Blackpool culture weekend.

Just about everything is ready to go and it’s now the fun part of putting together the best raffle you’ll see at any function! We pride ourselves in being the best in the game and that’s why in years gone past people not attending buy raffles so that option will be available again this year and I’ll start to take pictures of everything split them down over the two nights and let everyone see them all this week. This years it’s one auction item on the Saturday night but a prize raffle each night. Some of the prizes to date are
