This was such a powerful event.This and so many more Commissions across England wouldn't have happened if it weren't for Scotland's lead and Leeds going for it five years ago. The Bogside Artist's exhibition at Left Bank Leeds is the setting for an afternoon symposium on 6th November on the role of art in conflict and remembering. Alongside one of the muralists will be local artists and activists talking about their work in other arenas of conflict and about the importance of remembering. How and where is art being made that can help people and communities engage with difference, division, and conflict? The symposium will hear from each of the panellists as a stimulus to thinking and conversation.
