The Openwork Foundation is a registered UK charity which funds charity projects across the UK and overseas that support vulnerable people who are facing difficult circumstances. Our colleagues and partner firms help us to raise funds and choose the charities we support.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the High Rollers Ball last week. Together, we raised an incredible £26,760, boosted by the generous 50% uplift from The Openwork Partnership.

Meet Tony Pound, Independent Financial Adviser at Journeyhappy Financial Planning, now in his second year with 2plan.

With over 30 years’ experience in financial services, Tony began his career in life companies before moving into face to face advice roles with large financial organisations. He later transitioned into a self employed position with a smaller independent firm, where he could build a business aligned to his own values.

What Tony values most about working with 2plan is the balance it offers between independence and support:
“I can build my business in a way that reflects my own values and approach, while also benefiting from the backing of a strong and professional network.”

For Tony, the most rewarding part of his role is helping clients who come to him feeling uncertain about retirement, their finances, or what the future holds. Meet Leon Alden, Independent Financial Adviser at Corcillium Wealth Management, now in his fourth year with 2plan.

Leon began his career in finance at just 18 with Portman Building Society, quickly progressing into personal banking. His interest in helping clients make confident financial decisions led him to complete his financial advice qualifications in 2008. This journey ultimately inspired him to establish Corcillium Wealth Management in 2017, where he continues to provide tailored advice built around long term relationships and trust.

In 2023, Leon transitioned to an independent model under 2plan, giving his business the freedom and flexibility to deliver fully personalised, client focused financial strategies. Independence remains central to his approach, allowing him to offer advice without ties to any product provider.

He typically starts around 5 a.m. with a gym session followed by a walk with his dog, his way of creating clarity and setting a positive tone for the day. The highlight? Connecting with clients, whether that's face to face, on Teams, or over the phone.

Meet Claire Mullen, Financial Planner at Storeton Rose Financial Planning, now in her second year with 2plan.

Claire began her financial services career at Royal London, where she spent 12 years as a Business Development Manager and later as a Team Leader in New Business, specialising in pensions. Her passion for client-focused work led her to transition into financial planning, completing her Level 4 qualification in 2022.

Since joining Storeton Rose, Claire’s standout achievement has been building a client base entirely from scratch—and securing over £10 million in assets under management within just 21 months, despite starting with no existing clients. A milestone she’s rightly proud of.
