We’ve appointed Joanna Chan as Head of Strategic Capital, a newly created role dedicated to building institutional partnerships and broadening our funding base.

Joanna has led our Portfolio team for the past six years, overseeing our SME loan book and playing a key role in credit governance across the business. She previously worked in credit strategy and trading at BNP Paribas, partnering with institutional investors across global markets.

This marks a clear step in our evolution under new CEO Kawai Chung, as we expand engagement with institutional capital alongside our established retail investor base, supporting the growth of property-secured lending to UK SMEs.

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Kawai Chung as Chief Executive Officer of FOLK2FOLK.

Kawai brings more than 20 years of experience across commercial real estate lending, banking, private equity, and asset-backed lending, with a proven track record of building lending businesses and strengthening investor confidence.
