WE HAVE OUR NEW HOME.

From today, boots can be dropped off or collected from the Blackpool FC Community Trust offices within the North Stand at Bloomfield Road. Please ring 01253 348961 to arrange collection or delivery so we can ensure someone is there to meet you.

We have a good selection but urgently require more football boots of all sizes.

Let's normalise the recycling of football boots and help the children of Blackpool enjoy the game we all love.

Many thanks for your support so far, it's overwhelming how much this town pulls together.

What we want is to normalise the recycling of boots. This isn't a charity or giving handouts , we are just trying to use common sense.

It may be that you've bought your child some boots for Christmas but their current ones are too small. Use some of ours for now, you can always bring them back when they aren't needed.

Also with the current financial climate some parents may have decided to buy boots from ebay to save money. What we are saying is that you don't need to, we will have similar items for free so you can use the money elsewhere.

There may be parents who are having to budget a bit more than usual and we want you to use our service. You can bring the boots that no longer fit your child and swap for larger ones that way you are donating.

Children don't have to play for a team to use our recycling service. It may be that they enjoy having a kick about on the park with their friends but don't want to damage their trainers. Again use our service and get out there.

In Blackpool and the surrounding areas there are over 4000 children registered with clubs and most will have boots that don't fit anymore. Let's reuse those boots and normalise recycling.

Our children's physical and mental wellbeing is far more important than any possible embarrassment about asking for a little bit of help. Our service is completely anonymous, we don't want any money and lets just show the community spirit this town is famous for.

We aim to provide any child in Blackpool and surrounding areas who may be struggling financially with the opportunity to play football either as exercise or as part of a team.

With your help we want to set up a boot bank meaning that any children that have outgrown their football boots can donate them to families that may not be able to afford boots. No child should miss out on being able to play the game we all love especially in these current challenging times.

Thousands of children play football in our area and those children all outgrow their boots so all we ask is that instead of throwing them away you give us the chance to help others.

Anyone wishing to donate football boots can contact us on this page to arrange delivery or collection and anyone that needs new boots can message us privately to recieve their new to you boots.

A collection point will be available at the Armfield club opposite Blackpool FC on Bloomfield Road.

Opening hours this week for donations are

Tuesday 9-5, Thursday and Friday 10-4 and all day Saturday.

Let's help the children of our town by recycling unwanted or unneeded football equipment and let us help their fitness and mental health by being involved in the beautiful game.

PLEASE SHARE THIS PAGE , LET'S GET THE WORD OUT THERE.
