๐ Myth Busting Monday ๐
If you have selected a fixed rate (whether that be a new fixed rate for one that is due to expire or a remortgage / new purchase that has not yet completed), and the fixed rates with that lender have reduced, you may be able to select a new fixed rate! This however does come with a word of warning โ ๏ธ Some lenders may require a new credit search or request new documents when selecting a new rate and you could run the risk of the initial offer being withdrawn. I strongly recommend that you seek advice before doing this but it is something that may help ๐
Make sure you speak to a mortgage advisor who is representative of the whole of the market. They can research your options based on your individual circumstances.

๐ Myth Busting Monday ๐
The majority of mortgage lenders are a lot more open to maternity/paternity leave than some may think. They do not discriminate and you will likely still be able to borrow based on your return to work salary rather than your maternity/paternity pay ๐
The lender will usually require confirmation from your employer to ascertain your return to work salary and your likely return to work date ๐ However any future childcare costs will also be taken into consideration when assessing affordability ๐ง
Make sure you speak to a mortgage advisor who is representative of the whole of the market. They can research your options based on your individual circumstances.

Hi everyone and thank you for visiting my page :-) So let me tell you a little something about me and why I do what I do.....
I am a wife to my long suffering hubby Michael and mummy to my two beautiful girls, Amelia & Hallie. They keep me on my toes thats for sure but they are my world and the reason for doing what I do! And what is it exactly that I do?......yes I am a Mortgage & Protection Advisor but I see my job as so much more than that. Being a wife and a mum, I know how hard it is to run a family, pay the bills, look after the house, the school run etc. The list is endless and life is so busy for so many people. The last thing that you want to be doing when you are going through the stressful time of buying a home, remortging or taking out insurances (I mean there are so many different insurances, where do you even start?!) is to be calling call centres, speaking to lots of differernt people, being passed from pillar to post, booking time off work to meet with mortgage advisors, solicitors etc.
Enter Michelle......
What I havent yet told you is before I became a mortgage advisor back in March 2018, my entire career has been in the property industry. Sales, Lettings, Property Management - you name it, ive done it. I worked my way up from an Admin to Managerial level all before the age of 27. What this experience has given me, is the ability to hold your hand and take as much stress away from your shoulders as possible. I help clients to negotiate on their dream homes as it can be scary, I can help advise landlords of likely costs and expenses and I can make sure that you have the right protection in place for you, your family or your business. Also, no need to take time off work to see me. If evenings or weekends work best for you, then I will work around you. As cheesy as it may sound...I work for you, not the bank!
So thats me. As you can probably tell, I LOVE my job. Being able to help people and their families is my passion x
