October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Anderson Smith are proud to show our support by participating in ‘Wear it Pink’ on Tuesday 15th October.

Health & Protection Products Administrator

Anderson Smith Insurance Brokers are seeking a local motivated team orientated individual to join its fast growing and ambitious business.

Due to increasing client demand for its Health & Protection cover products (group private medical insurance, group life and employee assistance), Anderson Smith needs to employee an additional member of staff on its Health & Protection team.

Duties will include:
• Liaising with other staff and clients to gather information
• Preparing and submitting requests for quotes to suppliers
• Preparing received quotes for onward presentation to clients
• Booking received orders and distributing documentation to clients
• Other general administrative duties

For the right candidate, the role could expand in the fullness of time to take on other commercial insurance based duties.
The role is office based at our location at 16 High Street, Kinross. Full training will be given. Previous experience in financial services or the finance team of a business would be useful but not essential. Familiarity with MS Office products (word, excel, outlook) very useful as would be similar experience with an accounting package or B2B quote engine. For those wanting to build a career in this industry, support with professional qualifications is available too.

Working hours: This role could be part or full time. Part time would have to be a minimum of 15 hours per week. Normal office hours are Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00.

Starting Salary – dependent upon skills and experience.

Anderson Smith is a recently established and truly independent insurance broker based in Kinross, Scotland with an ever burgeoning reputation for delivering first class client service.
They have grown recently due to a number of significant new business wins and further expansion is expected in the months and years to come. In order to ensure that existing and prospective clients continue to receive the high level of service standards we set, account handlers of all levels of seniority and experience are now needed to join our team.

The Role
As a result of strong and sustained growth, this firm is looking to recruit Commercial Account Handlers to service an existing portfolio of commercial clients, plus new business as it is won. You will be handling all aspects of the accounts through renewals, adjustments, queries and any other issues that may arise. In addition to this, you will be actively involved in the broking of business to market - liaising with insurers and negotiating the best possible terms.
You will be responsible for dealing with a wide range of classes of commercial business including Property, Liability, Combined, Package and Fleet amongst others. These clients will range in size and complexity from SME to Mid-market, so previous exposure to these types of risks is essential.

The Person
You should be a proven Commercial Account Handler that wants to work in a growing and fast paced business. The opportunities that this role will provide will further develop your skills and experience, helping you to achieve your career goals. Insurance qualifications (Cert CII or greater) are preferred. Anderson Smith will support those colleagues wishing to study for the CII exams.

The Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers. You'll be responsible for all aspects of client interaction, from arranging and advising on new policies to renewals and mid-term adjustments. You'll also be responsible for preparing new business and renewal reports, insurance documents, and insurer presentations, managing the claims process on behalf of your clients, and ensuring compliance and efficiency with records management and client information handling. Rest assured you will not have to do this alone, as you will be ably supported by our excellent team of account handlers.

The Person
To fit the bill, you'll need a proven sales track record coupled with experience of commercial insurance products. You will need to be a self-motivated, ambitious and tenacious individual. For the more junior executive, further training can be provided as required. A driving licence and excellent customer service skills are essential.
In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 28 days' annual leave (including bank holidays), private medical insurance upon completing probation, a pension scheme, a bonus scheme, a car allowance, and a mobile phone and laptop.
Experience of using Acturis is useful but not essential as training will be provided. Anderson Smith will support employees who wish to study for the CII exams.

Job Vacancy – Office administration

Anderson Smith Insurance Brokers are seeking a motivated individual who will join our growing and ambitious firm.

Requirements: National 5 qualification advantageous. Basic computer skill essential.
Working with clients and colleagues the general day to day activities will include –

• Reception desk duties to include answering phones and meeting visitors who
enter the office
• Set up meeting rooms as and when required
• Perform administrative tasks to include data input of new and existing clients
• Take calls from customers and answer their questions about their insurance
coverage or follow their directions to ensure their coverage is renewed or
adjustments made
• Gather information about new prospective clients to help identify their
insurance needs and options.
• Invoice clients and manage a diary system to ensure payments are received.
• Process cheque deposits and other methods of payment
• Support the team with general administrative duties

This role could progress onto the completion of the Scottish Vocation Qualification in Insurance at SCQF level 8 for the right candidate

Working hours: Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00
