Well it's that time of year once again, when the days are shorter and the nights are longer. The smell of flickering candles fill the air, and the warmth and glow of Christmas decorations light the winter sky.

Christmas is that magical time of the year when we can enjoy the comfort of friends and family. But we should also give thought to those amongst us that will be homeless this Christmas or have recently lost close ones.

As the Winter Solstice sun sinks in the winter sky, may I take this moment to wish you a magical, joyful and relaxing Christmas 2025.

Finally, all the very best for a prosperous and healthy New Year.

A staggering £4239.50 was raised at the Mike Smith Guitar Academy Student Christmas Show on the 14th December.
Thanks to everyone involved, particularly to Gav and Ash, for helping with the stage, Mar, Ash and Marcus helping with tuning and to each and every student who worked hard learning their parts in readiness to jump up on stage a perform totally unrehearsed.

Edit. This post seems to have generated loads of comments saying people not associated with MSGA have tickets for sale - total scam as, the tickets are simply reserved and have to come direct through myself at the academy!

The First Student Christmas Show since Covid. 20 Christmas Classics performed by my academy students and raising money to help save Bewdley Plotlands.
I will be performing a full production version of the 12' version of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Power Of Love.
