💙 National Cancer Survivors Day – 7th June
National Cancer Survivors Day is a time to recognise and celebrate everyone who has faced a cancer diagnosis and continues to move forward with courage, determination and hope.
Cancer touches so many families. Some people will have experienced it themselves. Others will have supported a partner, parent, child, friend or colleague through treatment and recovery.
What is often less visible is that cancer doesn't just affect health.
It affects daily routines. Family life. Work. Confidence. Plans for the future.
And even when treatment ends, the journey is not always over.
One thing that doesn't always get talked about is the financial worry that can come alongside a diagnosis.
Time off work. Reduced income. Travel to appointments. The small costs that quietly add up over time.
It's a lot to carry when you're already carrying so much.
This is where having the right protection in place can make a real difference - not by taking away the difficult parts, but by giving people the time and space to focus on what matters most.
Above all, National Cancer Survivors Day is about people.
To everyone who has faced cancer, is living with cancer, or is supporting someone they love through it - we are thinking of you.
