Please can I introduce myself, just in case I could be helpful to you? My name is David Shaw and I have recently returned to Ilkley after living in Windsor for many years. I attended Ilkley Grammar School, Leeds University and first worked for a large Lloyds Insurance Brokers in Leeds gaining my Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute in marine, aviation and general insurance. Since 1988 I have run my own Insurance brokers and business development consultancy dealing with; charities, Clergy, Church of England Dioceses, Individuals, voluntary organisations and businesses helping them with; Investments, Charity Funds, Pensions, Financial planning, Taxation, Life Assurance, Trusts, Fundraising, business development, marketing and PR, sponsorship, Government Funding, event management. I have organised many Royal events raising millions of Pounds for Charities e.g. Over the last thirty years I have been involved with many organisations at local and national level. For example ; National Commissioner of The Scout Association, District Membership Chairman and PR Officer of The Thames Valley Region for Rotary International, President and PR officer for Windsor & Eton Rotary Club whose members include HRH the Prince Philip, KG, KT, HRH the Prince Edward, KG, GCVO, The Dean of St George’s Chapel, CO Household Cavalry Regiment, Windsor, CO Coldstream Guards Regiment, Windsor, Mayor, Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, The Constable & Governor of Windsor Castle, The Provost of Eton College, Head Teacher, Windsor Girls School, Principal of Cumberland Lodge. I have also been Chairman of New Windsor Team ministry of Churches Management Group, Chairman of an Investment Club since 2001, Concert Manager and Sponsorship director for Chester Music Society for ten years. Scout Leader and commissioner for 34 years.
