Happy August bank honey day tomorrow peops !I haven’t been as attentive as in previous years and feared the worst however looks like the girls have done well we will bottle up tomoz

On my travels with work I found a lovely lady bee keeper and we did a honey swap.
The colour was a little unusual compared with my much darker honey but I have to say it tastes amazing (nearly as good as Holdstone Honey ! )
However they really are chalk and cheese and the taste is far lighter and not as strong as mine which is due to the forage the bees have available in those Cornish hedgerows as oppose to up on exmoor.
Now if you find yourself able to grab a jar or two from
Blue House Bees - Gwenen Chi Glas cornish honey you certainly won't be disappointed it's fab ! I think it was a small harvest and it might probably even be spoken for or sold already in the mean time I am going to enjoy this jar myself 😁

This week we have exchanged contracts on the sale of Moorlands and Coastal Path Cottage. It will, when we complete in January, be the end of an amazing 10 years as owners. It has been wonderful to share this spectacular location and to meet so many lovely people. The new owners will be doing building works next year and so it will be closed for 2025. Until then, if any of you want to enjoy a final visit before it closes then we have opened the calendar for the remainder of the 2024 including New Year. Short breaks welcome.
