"I don't really know where to start."

And honestly, that's completely normal.

What does "A Safe Pair of Hands" mean to me?

For me, it means taking the time to listen.
It means answering questions honestly.
It means helping people understand their options clearly.
And it means being there before, during and after a decision has been made.

Healthcare is personal.
That's why I believe the relationship matters just as much as the recommendation.

My aim is simple:
To provide trusted advice, genuine care and ongoing support whenever my clients need it.

Because everyone deserves a safe pair of hands.

💬 If you'd like to explore your healthcare options, I'd be happy to help.

Why I do what I do

One of the things I love most about my role is helping people make sense of what can sometimes feel like a very confusing subject.

Many people tell me they don't know where to start when it comes to healthcare cover, and that's completely understandable.

My job isn't to pressure anyone into making a decision. It's simply to listen, understand your circumstances and help you explore the options available to you.

Whether you're looking after yourself, your family or your employees, I believe good advice starts with a conversation.

And if now isn't the right time? That's absolutely fine too.

My goal is always to leave people feeling more informed, more confident and reassured they have someone they can turn to for guidance.

"Do I really need private healthcare if I already have access to the NHS?"

This is one of the questions I'm asked most often.
The truth is, there's no right or wrong answer.
Everyone's circumstances, priorities and budget are different.

For some people, having access to additional healthcare options provides reassurance and peace of mind.

For others, NHS healthcare continues to meet their needs.
That's why I believe conversations are so important.
Rather than jumping straight into products, I always start by understanding what matters most to you before discussing the options available.

Sometimes the outcome is a recommendation.
Sometimes it's simply a helpful conversation.
Either way, my goal is to help you make an informed decision.

Have you ever wondered about the differences between NHS and private healthcare?

Let me know in the comments.

July was a busy month of networking, learning and building relationships.

One of the things I enjoy most about running LP Health Ltd is meeting people from different industries, hearing their stories and learning more about the businesses that help our local communities thrive.

Over the past month I've had the opportunity to:
✅ Attend a Customer Wellness Day and make some fantastic new connections
✅ Catch up with Tola, a physiotherapist learning more about the great work being done within the health and wellbeing sector at the amazing venue ‘Old Station Quarter'
✅ Attend Pete Rushmer's excellent session, It's Not So Lonely At The Top, which offered valuable insights for business owners
✅ Continue connecting with fellow members through my weekly BNI meetings
✅ Attend networking event at Magpas Air Ambulance to support the work they do.
✅ Join a Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce networking event on the Spalding Water Taxi... and even got the chance to drive the boat! 🚤

For me, networking isn't about selling. It's about building genuine relationships, understanding people's challenges and finding opportunities to support one another.
Thank you to everyone I've met, learned from and connected with throughout July. I'm looking forward to continuing those conversations throughout August.

🩸 Donation number 56 today!

I’ve been donating blood since I was 18, and every time I leave wondering why more people don’t do it.

For me, it’s quick, easy, and almost pain-free. In just a short amount of time, you’ve done something that could genuinely help save someone’s life.

One of the best things these days is that you even get to find out where your blood has been used, making the whole experience feel even more worthwhile.

And, as a little bonus, you’re forced to sit down afterwards with a drink of your choice, plus free crisps or biscuits if you fancy them!

If you’ve ever thought about donating blood but haven’t taken the plunge, I’d really encourage you to give it a go. A small amount of your time could make a huge difference to someone else’s life.

You can sign up to give blood here: https://my.blood.co.uk/sign-up/?intent=blood

Have you donated blood before, or is it something you’ve been thinking about?

Struggling to attract and retain the right staff?

Today’s employees are looking for more than just a salary, Private Healthcare Insurance is one of the top three benefits they value. Having this in place can make all the difference in keeping your team committed.

When key staff are out of the business due to ill health, it doesn’t just impact morale, it affects your revenue, your ability to deliver projects on time, and ultimately your reputation.

Missed deadlines and stretched teams can cost more than you think.

At LP Health, we understand that every business is different. That’s why our solutions are tailored around what you need, helping you support your people and protect your performance.

I’m Lisa Parrett, your trusted partner in navigating private healthcare.

Seeing my daughter Georgina Parrett recently being recognised with a Civic Award for her contribution to the community made me very proud.

Georgina doesn’t do the work she does for recognition; she’s just got a passion to try and help others and wants to give back to the local community. Whilst recognised for the award on her own, she is helped and supported by her friend Hannah Johnson and her partner Reece Hills who both work hard with her to deliver the events and collections for the local charities they look to support.

In fact, not resting on their laurels there was a Women’s Charity Football match raising funds for Peterborough R**e Crisis Group and Peterborough Women’s aid last Saturday at Peterborough Rugby Club.

I recently attended the last game for my daughter Meg, a long-serving Posh Women midfielder who retired on the last game of this season with a win against Stourbridge.

Lots of our friends and family came to watch her final game, as it’s been such a huge part of all our lives. Watching her play her final game for Peterborough United Women filled me with so much pride and emotion. From the little girl who dreamed of playing football, to the incredible woman who gave nine years, 180 appearances, and so many unforgettable memories to her childhood club, what a journey it’s been!

She’s had to show so much dedication, resilience, passion and heart every single step of the way. There has been sacrifices, injuries, wins, and setbacks… but she’s always handled it all with grace and determination. Seeing her help take the club to new heights and earn promotion makes this ending even more special.

But beyond the football, I’m most proud of the person she’s become. The friendships she’s built throughout her playing career, the players she’s inspired, and the love she’s always had for the game and her team. It truly is remarkable to see how many more opportunities there are for girls and ladies involved in football now, compared to when Meg first started to play.

So, whilst Football may be ending for Meg, I look forward to seeing how the game continues to evolve for the new generation of players enjoying the game. Up the Posh!

Following her final game, she was inducted into the Peterborough United Hall of Fame.

The final send off and celebrations was held at the historic Peterborough Cathedral, the Posh Women's end-of-season ceremony celebrated an incredible, undefeated season.

Meg also received a special recognition Award as part of this event.
