“It won’t happen to me, I am young, fit and healthy”

Recently, one of my clients received a lump sum payout of £6.5k and then his income was protected for the next 7 months due to an accident playing football.

Fortunately - he had protection in place!

This meant that he was able to take time off work to recover without having to worry about paying the bills or providing for his family. His missus was heavily pregnant, and had started maternity leave - so the payout was much needed!

He is young, fit and healthy (even if a little bruised due to breaking his leg in two places and dislocating his ankle!)
