Through conversations with various people out and about, we have discovered that people often don't know what a financial adviser actually does, sometimes confusing what we do with accountants and tax advisers. So, to make sure you know how we can help you, here is a basic run down of what we can do for you...
The first thing to note is that Financial Advisers are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We have strict qualification and conduct standards that we must, and do, meet.
When it comes to what we help with, as independent advisers, we are NOT restricted to certain products or providers. There is no 'best fit' here - unlike restricted advisers we can search the whole of market to find the right product for your specific needs.
At the very heart of it, we help you plan your financial future. We:
- help you think about the long term
- talk about what you want in the future
- look for a way to help you get there (whilst being realistic)
- look at pensions, savings and investments, as well as long term care plans, tax planning, protection and inheritance tax
- provide advice and guidance based on your own personal circumstances
We don't:
- plan/report on day to day budgets and spending
- tell you what you to do
- get involved in tax compliance
Whatever you want for your future there is no better time to start planning than now. You don't have to have a huge savings pot to benefit from good financial advice. Take a look at the graphics to find out more, and then get in touch to book a free initial consultation with one of our advisers.
Investments carry risk. Their value may fluctuate due to market and currency changes, and you could get back less than you invest. Past performance is not a reliable guide to future returns. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances.
