A brilliant surprise in the office last week👏

Mick Hunter from Arch Insurance popped in to collect his trophy for winning our Charity Golf Day earlier this year, but that wasn't the only thing worth celebrating...👀

Mick also scored his first ever hole in one out on the course, so we made sure it went down in history with a "1" engraved right next to his name.⛳

Nearly a month on the road, thousands of miles from home, shooting for Great Britain with everything they had. 👏

We’ve loved following the GB Rifle Team's tour through Camp Perry, Ohio and Borden Range, Ontario - and what a way to finish, with GB winning the America Match!

The team started at half past eight in the morning, knowing the weather was closing in - they spent the day soaked through, with lightning never far away. They kept their heads when it mattered most, managed the conditions at the final range far better than their rivals, and took the win! Canada was second and the USA third.

That win secured the Treble for GB - Canada, Commonwealth and America. An achievement that happens very rarely indeed.

Which made all those early mornings and gruelling matches worthwhile, and the team stuck together through every stage of the competition.

As proud sponsors, we loved following the team’s progress, and we couldn't be prouder to see them fly the flag so far from home. Huge congratulations to everyone involved, and welcome back home! 💙

James Mehta, Captain of the GB Rifle Team, features in this week's CMP National Match Report (Week 5), sharing his past experiences, what makes shooting so special, and the challenges that come with it.

Looking ahead, the team are now heading into the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association Championships, with the Canada Match, the Commonwealth Match, the Governor General's Final and the America Match all taking place before the tour wraps up with the Awards Presentation and Team Dinner. A big week ahead for the team, and we'll be cheering them on every step of the way.💙

GB Rifle Team update: onwards to Canada! 🇨🇦

The US leg of the tour wrapped up on Sunday with the team's first International match, a closely fought contest against a full-strength USA side and a combined Canadian American team at Camp Perry.📍

GB actually led after the first two ranges, with a flawless scorecard at 800 yards, but the Americans pulled ahead in the final range to take the match by the narrowest of margins. One standout performance came from Rupert Fitzsimmons, who was the only shooter across all three teams to complete the match without dropping a single point.

The team have since made their way back up to Canada, stopping off at Niagara Falls along the way - well worth the detour! After a short rest period, they're preparing to take on the Canadians tomorrow.
