✨ As a farmer’s wife, I’ve experienced the impact that an unexpected injury can have on a family. When my husband injured his back and was unable to work for two years, I understand first-hand how quickly life can change, and how difficult things can become when you’re not financially prepared for the unexpected.

🥹 That experience showed me just how important personal protection insurance can be, not just for the individual, but for the whole family.

♥️ Bit of a personal one from me today… ♥️

🦓 At 35, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic bleeding disorder.

🥊 Which meant I became uninsurable - just like that - in the blink of an eye.

🕊️ No chance of ever getting life insurance, critical illness cover or income protection ever again.

🙏 Thankfully, I’m already covered - but it means I’ll never be able to change or review my policies.

💙 So when I say there’s no time like NOW to talk about insurance - I truly mean it! I know first hand how circumstances can change literally overnight.

💙 Sometimes things take longer than expected.

💛 A lovely lady got in touch with me around 3 years ago wishing to discuss insurance options to protect her home and family.

❤️‍🩹 Sadly, at the time there were some health investigations occurring which means cover wasn’t an option at that immediate time.

🙌 However, we didn’t give up. We kept in touch, we checked in over the months which turned to years.

🕰️ It took three years, but we never gave up.

👀 There’s some universal signs that you’ve spotted a parent out in the wild…

🤪 I’ll go first!

🚲 Carrying a bike their 5 year old definitely said they’d cycle all the way!

🥤 Lugging around a water bottle their 9 year old was adamant she was carrying!

🎒 Backpack full of 47 items ‘just in case’.

🍪 Pockets full of snacks, snacks and more snacks!

🩷 It’s all consuming, it’s overstimulating, it’s one huge juggle and a rollercoaster of emotions but you’re doing an amazing job! Don’t ever forget that!
