Did your second home just become a "business"? 🏡

Councils across the UK are now strictly enforcing the 100% Council Tax Premium on second homes. To potentially be exempt, and qualify for business rates instead, your property must be:

🟠 Available to let: At least 140 days in the last 12 months.
🟢 Actually let: At least 70 days in the last 12 months.

However, if you are paying business rates, but only have second home insurance, your insurer may void a claim for non-disclosure of commercial activity.
