Happy summer solstice ☀️

The longest day of the year always sneaks up on me. One minute I’m knee-deep in spreadsheets and strategy… the next I’m standing here, on a cliff, remembering I’m a human before I’m a hustler.

This photo? Wasn’t staged.
He just stood there. Quiet. Still.
And for once…I didn’t rush him.

We spend so much of our lives pushing toward goals, toward growth, toward inbox zero (LOL). But sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause. Get outside. Let nature say what your to-do list can’t.

The world doesn’t need a more efficient version of you.
It needs a more grounded one.

So today, take the long way home. Feel the grass. Touch the water. Stare at some rocks for way too long.

Let the sun remind you that you’re allowed to be fully here.

We’re not just building businesses. We’re building lives.

This is your sign to say YES to weird, wild, slightly impractical ideas.

A while back, a great friend pitched investing in a movie.
I laughed… then said let’s do it.

Cut to:
Learning a flash mob.
Practicing in public to calm our nerves.
Wearing a corset.
Sipping some questionable period-appropriate beverage.
Living out my full Victorian Gothic Ball fantasy on set.
With my friends.
In an actual movie.

And it was freaking awesome.

The best parts of life don’t come with a guarantee… but they do come with incredible stories.

Money comes and goes.
But stories like this?
Worth every penny.

Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend that you find your “why not?” moment too.

I thought selling an 88-unit would feel like fireworks and champagne…

But honestly? It felt like envelopes and exhaustion. Gratitude and goodbye. Relief…and a weird kind of grief.

This stack of thank you notes? It’s not just stationery. It’s stories. It’s mistakes we owned. The wins we fought for. Sleepless nights, 3am emails, spreadsheets that made us want to throw laptops, and the people who stood in the trenches with us anyway.

These are for the ones who made it happen. The ones who showed up. The ones who answered texts when I was spiraling and held the line when I couldn’t.

Behind every “full cycle success” is a very real, very imperfect, very human journey.

And yeah, I still believe in the power of a handwritten thank you.
Because deals might close…but relationships shouldn’t.

Father’s Day hits different when your person isn’t here.

That’s my dad.

Grief doesn’t care about holidays or perfect timing. It shows up when it wants to. Today, it’s front and center.

Some days, it’s a soft ache in the background.
Other days, it’s a freight train out of nowhere.
A smell.
A song.
A memory you didn’t see coming.

And you know what? That’s okay.

I’ve stopped trying to outgrow it.
Because this hurt means something mattered.
He mattered.

I miss the way he laughed at his own jokes.
I miss how he made me believe I could do anything.
I miss having him in my corner.

And while it hurts, it also reminds me how lucky I was to have a dad worth missing this much.

If today’s tough for you too — I get it.
And you’re not alone.

This is what keeps my brain from turning off.

A resident told me she’s been asking to get her shower fixed for months. She stopped putting in maintenance requests because, and I quote, “I don’t want to get kicked out.”

And that BROKE me.

Listen — no property, no apartment, no landlord should EVER make someone feel disposable like that.

I get it… no one’s perfect. Things slip through. But dang… people deserve better.

I cannot WAIT to close on this 8-unit deal so we can turn these spaces into homes people are PROUD to live in.

Safe, clean, and freaking DIGNIFIED.

Hey! It’s been a while since we’ve posted and we’re happy to say,

We made it.

Not just to the finish line, but through something. Through change. Through loss. Through the kind of grief that sneaks up on you in the frozen food aisle or hits mid-laugh on a random Tuesday. This wasn’t just a race—it was a reset. A way to move our bodies through what our hearts were still figuring out.

Of how deep I can dig when I’d rather just lie down and scroll Zillow.
Of how much Michael believes in me when I say “nope.”
Of how doing hard things together makes every struggle feel kinda… beautiful? (Don’t tell him I said that.)

We laughed.
We yelled.
We maybe cried once (ok it was me, and it was over a tough workout… IT HAPPENS).

Two cats, dozens of apartment units, international moves, hundreds of run, bike, and swim workouts… this life isn’t what I pictured. But dang, it’s better.

Military life taught us discipline. Real estate taught us freedom. Adventure taught us joy.

And somewhere along the way—between the spreadsheets and the saddle sores—we figured out how to build a life that feels like ours.

Moral of the story?
You don’t need to be fearless. You just need to start.
The rest? You’ll figure it out while pedaling uphill, slightly sweaty, and slightly amazed at what you’re capable of.

It’s Day 1 of the Junior League of Dayton’s Little Black Dress Initiative!

I’ll be wearing the same black dress every day this week to shine a light on the issue of literacy in our community.

It’s a small illustration of a big issue, but the Junior League of Dayton believes in the power of our community to make a difference when we come together.

Strong literacy skills are rooted in reading and language development and are fundamental for children to succeed in school and beyond.

Positioning all children for success requires not only effective literacy interventions but also the collaboration of community partners like the Junior League.

I was the only woman on this panel.

I don’t ever see a lot of women discussing asset management in the real estate world.

Yes, there are more men than women in the industry but women need to be on stage more!
