Our Story

Established in 1965 by Eddie Hart, Hart Insurance Brokers started life in an office above Argyll Arcade in Glasgow aspiring to provide solutions for business, personal and financial services clients. Eddie built the firm on the cornerstones of professionalism, efficiency, expertise and personal service – a philosophy preserved to this day.

With a growing client base over the next 27 years and office moves in Glasgow to cope with increasing staff numbers during that time, a new larger home was found further down the river in Clydebank in 1992. By this time, Eddie’s sons, Alistair and Keith were now leading the way as partners, with the firm going from strength to strength.

After celebrating fifty rewarding years of business in 2015, a further move was afoot, to the shore of the Firth of Clyde in Helensburgh. The spectacular new home within the former Clydesdale Bank building was transformed into an office fit for the digital age but also with a keen nod to the traditional features of the 19th century building. Keith retired as a partner in September 2018 and continues to act as a consultant to the business.
