We’re excited to let our customers know that ARC Broker Services Ltd is relocating from our Heighington office to our new countryside home at Red House, Nocton Fen, LN4 2AY.

📦 OUR OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED:
Tuesday 1st September & Wednesday 2nd September

This will allow us a couple of days to get everything moved, connected and ready to continue looking after our customers from our new home.

Once the move is complete, normal service will resume, and we’ll continue looking after our customers with the same personal, friendly and professional service you know us for — just from rather more rural surroundings!

💬 Just a little WhatsApp heads-up! 💬

From now on, I can't guarantee that I will respond to group messages unless they’re family-related because I am switching off notifications.

I’ve been added to so many groups—some with a huge number of members—that the volume of notifications has become impossible to manage. This morning alone, I received more than 400 messages across different group chats! 😳

It’s becoming very distracting while I’m working - I keep losing my train of thought each time my phone pings and I simply can’t keep up with every conversation. The only practical solution is for me to switch off all group notifications.

I’m sorry if I miss anything important, but if you need me on WhatsApp, please message me directly and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

An interesting new report from Hiscox highlights the growing risks businesses face when using WhatsApp, Messenger, LinkedIn, text messages and other social media platforms to communicate with clients.

In today's fast-paced world, informal messaging helps businesses respond quickly and build stronger relationships. However, what may seem like a casual conversation can sometimes blur professional boundaries. A simple emoji, voice note or quick message could later be viewed as formal advice, approval, or even evidence in a dispute.

Some key findings include:
✅ 96% of professional service firms now use informal communication channels with clients.
✅ 22% have experienced messages being misunderstood or taken out of context.
✅ 19% reported employees stepping outside agreed authority through informal communications.
✅ 71% believe informal communications create additional risks for their business.

The report also shares practical tips to help businesses stay protected, including setting clear communication guidelines, documenting key decisions and ensuring important advice is confirmed through formal channels.
