Consumer Duty is moving from implementation to evidence. That should matter to every business buying insurance.
In plain terms, the standard is outcomes. Did the cover fit the need? was it explained clearly and was the service there when it mattered?
My advice when you renew or place a policy:
• Ask what is excluded, then ask for examples.
• Confirm who does what after the sale: mid term changes, certificates, and claims support.
• Do not buy on headline price alone. The policy that fails at claim stage is never good value.
Good broking is still the old fashioned things done properly: clear advice, proper documentation and being available when something goes wrong.
If you have ever had a claim drag on, you already know why this matters. Get in touch if you want to discuss your requirements.
