Yesterday, I got to see this photo from 2 years ago! I have SO MUCH LOVE for it!
And here is why:
✨ CPD
✨ Friendships
✨ Neurodiversity and acceptance
✨ Photos and faces
✨ CPD: also known as Continuing Professional/Personal Development. We organise 2 weekends a year where our active consultants get the opportunity to expand on their knowledge and skills, as well as the chance to network and exchange with their peers. That is 4 workshops a year, included in your membership! We have hosted 46 workshops since the school started!! This photo was taken during the Spring CPD 2023
✨ Friendships: the person who took this photo, Suzanne, came into my life when Slingababy was at the very beginning of its journey. She trained with us, she then ran the admin side of things and fuelled my fire. I feel so blessed to have her in my life and I miss her every day. The other person in this photo is Tomlin. Tomlin and I have grown so much together. If you haven’t seen Tomlin’s work yet you are missing out. I will add their link in the comments/tags.
There are so many wonderful people that I have met along the way. The broad collection of the hug members just fill my heart with love.
✨ Neurodiversity and acceptance: Slingababy has always been about celebrating the uniqueness of every family. Whether your brain is wired in its own special way, whether you consider yourself part of a minority, whether you feel like you don’t fit, whoever you are, we will make space for you. We will celebrate you, just as you are 🩷💜🩵. I have been having doubts about my flavour of spicy brain for a long time. I’m still unsure, but mostly I’m OK with being me. Nobody can do it better than me!
✨ Photos and faces: Social media, digital photography, and now AI have all brought a more unified look and expectation over what we look like. It becomes so easy to airbrush ourselves, to feel like our million faces are not as beautiful.
I love nothing more than seeing the glorious faces and expressions that get captured by candid photos. I definitely feel that this is a glorious one of me. I wish there were more photos capturing REAL moments.
