It's been a crazy few weeks with daily emails of rates being pulled, often with short notice!

I posted about swap rates on 5 March (see post below) – the rates that lenders pay to borrow the money they then lend to us.

I’ve just taken another look at them at the close of business on 13 March, and the increase in such a short space of time is pretty striking.

As many of you will have already seen, lenders have already started increasing rates and withdrawing products in response.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the latest swap rates so you can see the movement for yourself.

What do you think will happen in the short term or long term?

We've been watching swap rates this week, with the conflict in the middle East, the swap rates have increased (the rate at which lenders borrow money).
Today We've had emails from Bank of Ireland, HSBC, The Coventry, Nottingham BS, Virgin and Nationwide regarding rate increases.
If your rate is coming to an end before August, it may be time to start looking and securing a rate!
