Hello to all current and future clients,
We have recently seen a review posted about our work, and we feel it is only fair to respond, as we believe some of the statements made are unfair and inaccurate. We would not want this review to discourage potential customers from contacting us without hearing our side of the situation.
We were asked by a regular client to carry out repointing work. Unfortunately, the work did not produce the expected result due to the way the patio slabs had been installed. The slabs were laid upside down, which caused an issue that was outside of our control.
We completely understand the client's frustration and disappointment. However, the statement that we took payment and did not carry out the work is simply not accurate. We returned to the property and attempted to rectify the issue free of charge, and we explained the cause of the problem.
Regarding the interaction mentioned in the review, my father-in-law was present. During the conversation, comments were made suggesting that we were "ripping off people who have cancer." We appreciate that this was an emotional situation, but unfortunately, these comments were particularly difficult for him personally, as his wife is currently critically ill and has been given only a few weeks to live.
We would never intentionally take money for work we had no intention of completing or resolving. We have always tried to be honest with our clients and take pride in the work we do. In this situation, we returned to try to help and resolve the issue despite the circumstances being outside of our control.
We are saddened that the situation has reached this point, particularly as we have worked for this client previously. We will always do our best to resolve genuine concerns and treat all of our customers fairly.
We sincerely hope that this situation and review do not affect any new or returning clients who may be considering contacting us in the future. We truly value every customer who puts their trust in us, and we remain committed to providing an honest, reliable and professional service.
