North Thoresby 1940's Event North Thoresby 1940's Event, Lincolnshire - August bank holiday weekend annually Military and civilian re-enactors intermingle with visitors.

**THE 2019 EVENT WAS OUR FINAL 1940s EVENT**

The 1940's Weekend, which takes place each August in the picturesque village of North Thoresby, sees upwards of 5,000 visitors per year. Enjoy the sounds of the 1940's and swing dancing in the village square. Take a trip on a vintage bus, horse and trap and steam train. Browse the many vintage and craft stalls and take a break in the village NAAFI. An

evening theme dance will take place on the Saturday and there will be a 'Great British Quiz' on the Sunday evening. Outdoor trade stands available.

On behalf of everyone involved in the event I’d like to say a huge thank you to you all for your support and kind words. It’s really lovely to hear how much the event was enjoyed by visitors and stallholders etc alike.
There will now be a pause in communication - baby arrived the day after the event!

We have 3 car parks this year and parking is FREE so please don’t park in the coned off streets as it causes problems for other people.
