🌟August Highlights Across the Group🌟

Throughout August, colleagues across our Group have been getting out, connecting with others, supporting their communities and making a positive impact.

🥎 The Ecclesiastical Insurance Northern team brought some friendly competition in a rounders tournament
🏆 Ecclesiastical Planning Services colleagues celebrated being shortlisted as finalists in industry awards
🏐 Ansvar Insurance UK colleagues took to the beach for a charity volleyball event
🤝 In Sydney, Ansvar Insurance colleagues attended a women in insurance networking event
🐑 Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking at the Gower Show, building relationships and engaging with the communities they work with
🏑 Some of the Lycetts Edinburgh team swapped their desks for the hockey pitch in a charity match
💚 Ecclesiastical Insurance's Toronto team made the most of their volunteering days, giving back to causes that matter in their local communities

Giving back is at the heart of what we do.

That’s why it was fantastic to see some of our Ecclesiastical Insurance UK team volunteering at No Child Left Behind’s Party in the Park earlier this month.

No Child Left Behind is helping young people across Cheltenham thrive through free events, shared learning and community support. By giving their time, our colleagues helped support an initiative creating opportunities for local children, young people and families.

A £5,000 Movement for Good Special Draw grant is helping Little Lifts provide practical and emotional support to people affected by breast cancer.

The funding will provide over 100 Little Lifts Boxes, helping recipients through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery with carefully selected items designed to ease treatment side effects and promote wellbeing.

As one recipient shared:
"In this Box, I found not just well-crafted essentials but a reservoir of hope, care, and the affirmation that I am not alone on this journey."

Gloucestershire Archaeology recently received a £5,000 grant through our Movement for Good Community Special Draw, helping them continue their work exploring and preserving the county’s heritage.

Last week, our team visited Cleeve Common to meet volunteers searching for the original stone-built Cheltenham Racecourse grandstand, built in 1832 and demolished in 1842.

Founded in 1967, Gloucestershire Archaeology is an amateur society with around 180 members passionate about discovering and sharing Gloucestershire’s history.

We’re proud to support the incredible work they do 💙

A £5,000 Movement for Good award is helping Ferriers Barn Limited continue supporting adults with disabilities.

The grant is helping fund vital day-to-day costs, including transport and one-to-one support, ensuring members can access the care and community they need.

It's fantastic to see Francesca from WRS Insurance Brokers, part of the Benefact Group, visiting Ferriers Barn and hearing more about the charity's work. Visits like these help our colleagues see the real impact of the funding and the difference charities make every day.

We have some VERY exciting news for fundraisers.

Applications for givestar's £250,000 Adventure for Good Grant pot are officially OPEN until 31st August.

They're backing fundraisers taking on big, bold and occasionally slightly unhinged challenges for charity and providing them with funding to get it off the ground, so they can focus fully on raising money for amazing causes.

As well as financial support, selected recipients will also be invited to join their VIP AllStars community, where they'll help with everything from content and social media to PR, partnerships and making sure their fundraising reaches as many people as possible.

Benefact Group are proud to be supporting this grant and we cannot wait to see the types of challenges that come through.

It's always great to see colleagues from across Benefact Group out meeting the charities we support and seeing first-hand the impact they make in their communities.

Recently, our Lloyd & Whyte Group colleagues visited Age UK Buckinghamshire to present a £5,000 donation through the Movement for Good Community Special Draw.

From tackling loneliness through social activities to providing dementia support, advice and guidance, Age UK Buckinghamshire delivers vital services for older people across the county.

Congratulations on this well-deserved funding, and thank you for the incredible difference you make every day.

As part of Benefact Group's Movement for Good programme, it was a pleasure to visit Age UK Buckinghamshire and present them with a £5,000 donation through the Movement for Good community draw.

The team provides support to older people across Buckinghamshire, from tackling loneliness through Coffee, Cake & Company mornings to offering dementia support, practical advice and guidance for local communities.

☀️July Highlights Across the Group☀️

As July comes to a close, our colleagues have been making the most of the summer months both in and out of the office!

🌿 The Naturesave Insurance Brokers team kicked off their 101 Miles for Nature challenge.
🏓 Colleagues at Ansvar Insurance UK brought out their competitive side, supporting Wimbledon, with an office charity table tennis tournament.
🎯 The Lansdown Insurance Brokers team enjoyed a summer social with a game of darts.
🌈 Colleagues from EdenTree Investment Management celebrated Pride at the InterInvest Pride Brunch, joining peers from across the investment management industry in championing LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality.
⛰️ Great effort from the Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Swansea team who took on the Three Peaks Challenge.
🦒 Teams from Cliverton Insurance Brokers, Lycetts and Ecclesiastical Insurance used their volunteering day helping at Banham Zoo.
🏃‍♂️You couldn't miss them in the neon t-shirts - EdenTree colleagues took part in the world's largest corporate running series.
