Hi all,

I've not forgotten you all.

I've been on touch with the Daten and I'm just waiting on a confirmed start date for the book club, but its looking like a Thursday evening. This will be monthly.

The initial meeting will be to put the feelers out to see how you all want this club to function. So start to think of some ideas or questions for our initial meet up.

I'll post the start date once I've had confirmation back 📖📚📜

Hello all,

If you have been a member of this group from the very beginning, you will know the book club was set up as a book exchange whilst libraries were closed during the covid pandemic.

While I now longer offer the book exchange, I have recieved messages lately enquiring about a proper book club.

I have decided to reach out to the Daten Club on the feasibility of starting a Book Club from there.

It's early stages at the moment, but if this is something that you would like to get involved in or attend, please follow any information I'll post onto this group.

The book club for donations and swapping of books is no longer operational now that we are able to donate to charities and use the library.

I have however had a few enquiries regarding "book clubs" as in Reading set books. I'll make enquiries and see if this can be changed to a reading book club.

If anyone is felling charitable and can collect books to donate to local charities, could you please collect books from me? My books have broken the storage and I have nowhere to keep them from the elements

Happy Bank Holiday.
Unfortunately we cannot take any donations for the foreseeable future, I have ran out of space lol
Books are available to collect all day everyday from sun up till sun down x

When I started the book club I promised to donate books to St Roccos Hospice on a regular basis to help them and to save space for new donations.
Thanks to the idea to sell books to "we buy books" I can confirm the first donation of £10 was made today! More books awaiting collection so more donations to be made, which means more space for donations.
There's a box outside ready for donations all day, everyday!
