Participants needed for a survey conducted by Queen’s University Belfast.

The purpose of the study is to collect perspectives across different parts of Glasgow on the role of your neighbourhood in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fossil-fuel dependency. The survey asks questions to hear about your connection to your neighbourhood, your level of trust in key actors at the local level, and to gather attitudes to energy-related initiatives and policies.

This week is Bike Week! A great time to share a new pilot project being run by Bike for Good to support people to start cycling regularly. No previous experience necessary!

Over 10-12 weeks they will work with a small group on cycling skills and maintenance. Every participant will also be provided with a bicycle.

To qualify you need to be interested in cycling regularly as a solution to rising transport costs and be a parent or guardian of working age, or 16-18 and contributing to household income.

Next week will be another Glasgow City Council week of action, supported by our contractors. That means tomorrow we will be holding another walkabout to identify issues in that area! Want to come along? Join us at Samaritan House from 10am .

Great staff session with our new CEO discussing customer care, what this means and how we can continue to improve our services and approach. Some key elements identified include the importance of active listening, communication, clear timescales, compassion, team work and simpler, more efficient processes.

This week is and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who volunteers for the Housing Association, and in Govanhill and Merrylee more broadly.

From the Govanhill Community Garden group, to our scrutiny panel and of course our Management Committee, who give up many hours of their free time to oversee the governance of the our Association.

And to everyone else who volunteers! Whether you have participated in a litter pick, sat on a community council or helped at a local event.
