It is with immense sadness, that I announce the passing of my co director and father, Ronnie Allan. Following a long and brave battle with Progessive Supra Nuclear Palsy (PSP) he passed away peacefully early on Monday the 25th March.
My Dad formed Stoke Park Finance over 30 years ago after a highly successful career with big names such as Forward Trust, Midland Montagu Leasing and Security Pacific (now Bank America). A phenomenal business man and people person, Dad was able to use his tremendous intelligence and his vast experience to work easily with both large and small companies. In pride of place in our office are personal letters from main board directors of The Telegraph and Albion Automotive recognising his contribution to two of his favourite transactions of his career.
Dad was always rightly proud of the fact that he started Stoke Park Finance with a pinstripe suit, a blank sheet of paper, and strong supplier relationships in the classic car, bus and coach and manufacturing sectors. Through hard work and determination, he went on to build Stoke Park to be the well known and much respected name it is in the asset finance industry today.
Everyone was made to feel as though theirs was the only deal on his desk and business relationships often became friendships. Dad cared deeply about providing the best financial solutions in the most human and personal way and his sense of humour will never be forgotten. He loved every aspect of his working life and working alongside him was a privilege.
There will be a private family funeral, but I know my Dad would like me to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers for their kindness to our family over these difficult days.
