Our MD, Richard, recently took part in one of Insurance Business UK's virtual roundtables, considering Artificial Intelligence (AI) risks and responses particularly from a Financial Lines perspective.

There isn't a universal approach to underwriting the risks presented by the use of AI, or to collecting information about the of AI - this creates risks for brokers and underwriters - all whilst we're trying to help clients manage their own risks relating to the use of AI!

One of our takeaways was that implementing AI Governance Frameworks or Usage Policies will be a feature of the AI revolution as its use expands into businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Last night we said au revoir and adiós (but not goodbye) to our Operations Manager, Paul.

He's been with us since 2023 and two weeks ago started a period of leave that finished his time of employment and eased him into his well-earned retirement.

His account of his last fortnight encapsulates so much of what we have always appreciated about Paul- he's been active and proactive, approaching life with curiosity and enthusiasm and sharing his gifts, experience and skills generously to support others with reliability, dependability and kindness.

We're also very grateful that he spent his last couple of weeks in the office helping to welcome our newest recruit, Alec, who we'll be introducing soon.

We will miss Paul greatly, and hope that he enjoys his BricksKrieg game and Firebrick Brewery beers.

Happy retirement, Paul! And, thank you!
