Ahhhh, 6 years of Lyle.

Happy New Year folks, hope you all had a good one 🍾

Its that time of year again, when TENS OF THOUSANDS 😮 of mortgages have fixed (or a few variable) rates that expire in the next 6 months. So if that’s you then now’s the time to get the new options looked at, so you can prep accordingly. Some will have rates that will increase 🙁 while others will have rates coming down 😀

And did you know - a decent broker can secure a new rate just now, so that you can combat against any rate increases between now and the new rate start date. BUT THEN……if rates reduce in the meantime they’ll let you know about the lower rate then switch you onto it, as many times as need be 😮

Well after all, those decent brokers dont get over 170 5-star reviews for no reason…….🤷‍♂️👀🤭

So, dont get caught out. You know where we are if you need us. And remember - switching lenders may incur additional costs 👍

A lot of sense spoken by Martin Lewis about mortgages last night 👏🏻

Starting the review process 6 months before your current rate ends was particularly relevant. It might then involve “sitting tight”, but an adviser will keep you right on that 👍

And, of course we would agree with this, but him bigging up the role of brokers never goes amiss. They know what they’re doing, and will keep you right 💪

Don't get me wrong, if you're in the first year of self-employment then you're struggling. But if you have one set of accounts then there are usually options available. Providing you've been declaring all of your income of course...... 👀
