Our wonderful colleague and friend, Karen Douglas, passed away on 3rd January after an unbelievably brave battle with cancer over the last 7 years. Karen is survived by her son Lewis who has just started University. We would love to help Lewis at University and are raising funds for him in memory of Karen.

Lowland Financial turns 25 years old today!

We could not have done this without the unwavering support from our clients and wonderful staff. I’m sure when Graeme Mitchell started Lowland Financial in 2000 he would not think 25 years would come around quite so quickly.

Graeme, we hope we are doing you proud and continuing to build the business the
way you envisaged a quarter of a century ago.

In the last three years alone we have nearly tripled the funds we look after, have an office in Dunfermline and been fortunate enough to merge John Kennedys business, Sovereign Financial into Lowland.

Here is to the next 25 years!

From 1 December 2025 the FSCS deposit protection limit will rise to £120,000 from the existing limit of £85,000

This means that if you hold deposits or savings with a UK-authorised bank, building society or credit union and it goes out of business, FSCS can compensate you up to the new limit of £120,000 per eligible person, per authorised firm.

Huge congratulations to our very own Alicja Lejszo who has just passed her final exam to become a Chartered Financial Planner. 4 years of hard work has paid off.

Alicja only joined Lowland Financial in May this year and has already become a big hit with both staff and our clients.

With the Red Weather Warning in place on Friday we have taken the decision to close the office so staff and clients are not travelling. We will be working from home and the phones will be manned. Stay safe everyone.
