A week of contrasting conditions on the “Costa del Brae” at the beginning with the bright sunshine before giving way to some welcome cloud but turning to a sharp northerly wind by Saturday, resulting in the air much cooler than the water temperature. Fish were seen moving consistently throughout the beats on most days, alongside early indications of resident fish establishing themselves in several pools.

We had fantastic time hosting our first flies and flutes ladies day, we welcomed ladies from all over the uk.

Challenging winds made the fishing hard but the cozy hut and afternoon tea made up for it.

The ladies got to take away a goodie bag of various Gordon castle products, tickets the Highland Games and bottles went down a treat too!!

We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!

A fantastic way to round off the last full week of the season ending with over 80 fish landed across the beats, the cooler water certainly switched on the residents but there was an encouraging amount of silver fish seen and caught!
