Bank of England have dropped the base rate by 0.25% to 4.25%

Slowly dropping but getting there.

We await the lenders response (hopefully with rate drops)

Bank of England reduce rate by 0.25% to 4.5%.......

Bank of England have today confirmed a drop of the base rate. Hopefully this is the first of many ! Fingers crossed !

The BoE's rate setting committee voted by a majority of five to four to reduce the rate for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Rates are on the rise!!

I'm hoping this is only a temporary rise whilst they wait for the Bank of England to make their mind up what they ate doing but if you are waiting for things to get better. Short term it may not

Halifax are increasing all their product transfer rates by up to 0.32% on friday

Santander have already increased by 0.36% on Tuesday.

Multiple mainstream lenders are also increasing their fixed rates this week.

If you are holding out on your mortgage in the hope they eill drop. DONT!!

CREDIT REPORT!!

We have witnessed a massive increase in adverse credit on customers credit files. sometimes these things are minor, sometimes major. a lot of the time clients are completely unaware and in some cases they have paid and the companies have still registered adverse information.
examples include
*CCJs for parking tickets
*Utility companies registering defaults when you leave their company
* Mobile phone late payments

good practise is to keep an eye on your file. We recommend checkmyfile as they search both Experian and Equifax
