You will have heard that Pete & Jim have decided to wind down and close the IYN.
Whilst we understand the reasons why, we will be sorry to see the IYN close. We believe it added a truly independent opinion in the world of yoga: a world in which more revenue is generated than the GDP of several countries around the world.
BGi.uk has worked closely with the IYN and its members since its inception. The insurance facility designed by BGi.uk for the IYN was unique in several ways. In particular,
1. As a member of the IYN you did not have to insure with BGi.uk (or now, BGi.eu.)
2. The insurance enabled working ‘On-line’
3. A number of additional and still unique benefits are included with IYN membership when insurance is arranged with BGi.uk/eu
Over the years, members asked if we could include other therapies within their insurance. This was agreed and we now provide cover for some 1,600 ‘alternative therapies’ to Yogis and other therapists in the UK and Europe (the EEA territories).
This has been organised through a membership facility that we now call ‘Foyht’. Originally ‘FocusOn Yoga & Holistic Therapies’ the name was shortened as, over the years, many moved away from teaching yoga and concentrated on other therapies and practises. BGi.uk/eu now work with over 130 associated groups practising in the world of Health & Wellbeing.
Individual members of associated groups are automatically included within Foyht.org – which provides a number of unique membership benefits, including:

Yoga Teachers Together
Yoga Teachers Together (YTT) is a new organisation offering similar services to those facilitated by the IYN. Lead by current members of the IYN, YTT are launching their services on 30th November 2022. Pre-registration & further details are now available at www.YogaTeachersTogether.org. We look forward to working with ‘YTT’ in the future.
Until then, we would like to confirm that BGi.uk will continue to offer members and ex-members of the IYN a £10.00 discount on their insurance costs, in addition to the standard ‘Foyht’ benefits mentioned above. This benefit will be transferred to the YTT as soon as they are ‘up and running’ at the end November.
