What a day ⚽☀️

Huge thank you to MT Finance for hosting such an incredible event at the Emirates Stadium in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charity.

We were incredibly proud to see our CEO take part in such a fantastic event.

Anyone who knows him knows just how competitive he is… so the fact Team Sherman won meant we got a very happy boss back in the office 😂

To top it all off, the atmosphere around the stadium after Arsenal were crowned the Premier League champions made it one of those days you genuinely won’t forget in a hurry.

Massive congratulations again to everyone involved in making it happen - a brilliant event for an even better cause 🩵

Commercial Bridge Secures Hostel Acquisition Following Mortgage Decline👇

The case presented several complexities that made a traditional commercial mortgage unsuitable at the outset.

The long-term objective was for the client to take over the running of the hotel once the existing tenant lease expires next July, before refinancing onto an owner-occupied commercial term loan.

Standard commercial mortgage affordability was not achievable at the time of application, not what you want to hear🫤

But that’s where our expert advisers come in.

What made the difference?

We structured a 12-month commercial bridging facility to provide the speed and flexibility required.

Net loan amount of £300,000 with retained interest
12-month bridge facility secured against the commercial property
Funding used for the purchase of the commercial unit

The outcome meant that the client successfully secured the commercial property purchase despite previous lending difficulties and affordability constraints, and the acquisition was completed without relying on a declined commercial mortgage application.

This one was tough. Tight timelines. Long days. No room for slowing down.

The work is hard. We’re not going to sugarcoat it. But the finished result makes every bit of it worth it.

What was once an unusable space is now safe, accessible, and built for real life - exactly what it should be.

Now 7-year-old Alex and his family can enjoy their new garden ❤️
