Last Wednesday, our CEO Peter Williams swapped property finance for a fancy evening at the iconic Guildhall in London, joining Nationwide UK for the Banking on Barnardo's Dinner 🥂

Bringing together some of the biggest names in financial services, the evening was all about making connections, raising funds and supporting the incredible work Barnardo's does for children, young people and families across the UK.

With Natasha Kaplinsky OBE hosting, a keynote speech from the Governor of the Bank of England and a comedy set from Dara Ó Briain, it certainly wasn't your average Wednesday night!

Plenty of inspiring conversations, some fascinating people and, most importantly, a brilliant cause at the heart of it all.

A huge thank you to Nationwide for the kind invitation and a fantastic evening 😊

WellChild Awards 2026 💜

What. A. Night.

We’ve supported WellChild for a while now, but nights like this remind us exactly why we do it.

The real stars? The kids.

Funny, brilliant, outspoken and absolutely determined to make their voices heard - particularly about their right to the same opportunities, experiences and access as everyone else.

Then there are the siblings who quietly step up. The parents and families who give everything. And the incredible WellChild nurses making a very real difference to families every single day.

And Sarah and Carl. They foster and adopt children with complex needs and had an entire room on its feet. Not a dry eye in the place.

We went along proud of what we’ve raised for WellChild so far.

We left wanting to do more.

A LOT more.

So that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

Watch this space… we’ve got some fundraising to do 💜

Thank you again to everyone for joining us at our Golf Day last week, and for your incredible generosity in supporting WellChild

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’re thrilled to say we raised an incredible £4,187 for WellChild!💸

That takes our running fundraising total to £13,985 and helps us get to our £20,000 target for the year. Most importantly, the money raised helps WellChild continue its vital work supporting seriously ill children and their families.

Thank you again for your generosity and for making the day such a brilliant one.

School’s out. CEO duties remain…

With the summer holidays in full swing, we recruited a couple of new (slightly smaller) members of the Propp marketing team to put Peter William’s through his paces.

We handed over interviewing duties to Peter’s kids and gave them one job: find out what people get wrong when it comes to property finance.

No rehearsals. No training. Just some surprisingly good questions and a few Pete probably wasn’t expecting 🤪

Turns out our youngest interviewers are pretty good at this!
