Panorama - Undercover Estate Agent on tonight at 8:00pm BBC One. ‼️

Two major Estate Agencies have been accused of breaking industry codes of conduct during BBC Panorama TV investigation. 👀

The investigation features reporter Lucy Vallance going undercover working as a negotiator at one of the UK’s biggest estate agencies, during which she reveals evidence inflicting recorded phone calls and the company’s employees are involved in conditional selling - forcing buyers into using their in house mortgage advisers, often through lies and pressure tactics in misleading buyers and sellers.

“Your Offer won’t be put forward unless you speak to our broker…”

“It’s policy that you have to be financially qualified by us…”

“The seller wants someone who’s using our in house services…”

Lucy Vallance also speaks to a whistleblower who has worked at another big estate agency, where staff were put under pressure to sell add on services and were incentivises by a commission scheme to get sellers to drop their house prices.‼️
