What a season itโs been for Evesham Rugby Club ๐
All of us at Huttlestone Financial Services want to take a moment to say just how incredibly proud we are of the entire club; the players, the coaches, the fans, and everyone behind the scenes who makes it all possible.
Finishing 5th in a highly competitive Counties 1 Midlands West (South) league is a fantastic achievement in itself, but the journey doesnโt stop there. A remarkable cup run to the quarter-finals of the Counties 1 Championship Cup, and such a narrow 26โ25 contest away at Crewe & Nantwich, shows the true character and quality of this team.
This season has been a testament to what hard work, dedication, and commitment can achieve. Week in, week out, the squad has shown resilience, teamwork, and pride in the badge; and it hasnโt gone unnoticed.
As Vince Lombardi once said:
โIndividual commitment to a group effort: that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilisation work.โ
That spirit has been clear in everything youโve done this season.
Congratulations again to everyone at Evesham RFC. Weโre honoured to support you and canโt wait to see what next season holds. ๐โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ
On Saturday, our 1st XV made the trip to Crewe & Nantwich for the Counties 1 Championship Cup Quarter Final - backed by a fantastic coach full of supporters who brought the noise from start to finish ๐โค๏ธ
1st XV Manager, Steve Drayton, shared his thoughts after the game:
โFailure does not come from losing, but from not trying - and we couldnโt have tried any harder or played any better than we did on Saturday. The lads should be very proud of their performance, and of the season as a whole. Itโs been a privilege to be part of a team that reached a national cup quarter final.
A huge thank you to all our supporters and sponsors throughout the season, and to everyone behind the scenes who makes it possible for us to take the field each week - we couldnโt do it without you.โ
A season to be proud of. ๐ช
