Bureau de Change Clerk / Post Office Clerk.

Salary: £10.50 per hour.
Job type: Part-time 16 hours per week. – Permanent.
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 2 days per week – You will be required to cover holidays and any sick leave.
Location: Egremont
Start Date: Immediate.

Join the team at Egremont Travel and be part of the planned re-opening of Egremont Post Office.

Initially you will help run our existing Bureau de Change, duties will involve sales, currency rate setting, customer services, cash handling and stock balancing. This will be an ongoing position but may also be expanded to include Post Office Clerk duties if we are able to add the Post Office to our existing business.

The Post Office will be opening in early August, we will also have a very small shop adjoining the Post Office which will need to be maintained.

You will be required to serve customers with Postage, Banking, Travel Money, MoneyGram, Car Tax, Gift Cards, Postal Orders, Car Tax, etc with back-office work included.

Skills and knowledge required:
*customer service skills
*excellent verbal communication skills
*the ability to work well with others
*persuading and negotiating skills
*to be thorough and pay attention to detail
*the ability to sell products and services
*good maths skills
*active listening skills
*to be able to use a computer and the main software packages competently including Word and Excel.

Full training will be provided and Post office Ltd will require a CRB check.

Hi,

Any builders out there that can drill a hole through our external wall (2 foot thick) so we can re-route our telephone cable?

All part of our plan to try and relocate the Post Office to our premises so any help appreciated, willing to pay :)
