Are you being ripped off my your life insurance premiums?

Chances are, if you went to an adviser that has loaded premiums, your are!

Loaded premiums mean that you pay more for your life insurance, critical illness and income protection so your adviser gets paid more.

They usually won’t phrase it like that but why would they?

🎂 Happy Birthday to Aitken Financial Services!

5 years old today (or tomorrow i can’t actually remember). And, what a 5 years it’s been!

Tail end of Covid, Liz Truss, Oil shock/war/impending financial crisis looming. All has me wishing it’d started 30 years earlier but sadly I was celebrating my first birthday.

It has had difficult moments but most have that has been made much easier but having some fantastic people that i work alongside on a daily basis from the team at New Leaf, solicitors that i work with and right through to other brokers that listen to me moan about the job.

And obviously all of the people that have trusted me with their mortgage and insurance!

That said, it’s been great, it’s allowed me to basically allowed me to work part time and spend time with my kids. Which is why i set up in the first place.

Anyway, now that the kids are at school i need to work full time, which for someone who is self-employed is apparently 100 hours a day! Wish i’d known that 5 years ago.

To celebrate me working full time, I will be lobbying for a UK wide bank holiday, but whilst i wait for that I have just signed up to do my R02 and finish the long road to becoming an IFA!
