I’ve been on a few site visits recently to blocks of flats around Eastbourne and Hastings.
Each and every one has renewed their block insurance without anyone properly reviewing what’s actually covered.
It’s so easy to assume that as long as the building is insured, everything must be fine.
But things like declared value, communal areas, lifts being checked, excesses - it should be all checked.
If you’re the person responsible for arranging the insurance for a block, that’s a lot of have on your shoulders.
I’ve taken the time to review existing arrangements, approach insurers and explain it all in plain English.
So if you’re a freeholder, managing agent, block manager, or director of a residents management company…
Please get in touch if you’d like a second opinion.
